I acquired (at a yard sale, for almost nothing) an "Ascorlight 360-1
Location Lighting Group". It is an old pack-and-head strobe system,
without the pack. It contains three 11' light stands and one 3' stand,
a boom, two heads with 12" reflectors, two heads with 5" reflectors,
and a spare bulb. The instruction manual is dated 1970.

I am assuming that the stands and boom can be useful. They have 1/2
inch tops, so they may need some adapting.

Does anyone still use heads that old, or should they just go in the
trash?

If the heads work why not use them, however old they are? But since you
don't have the powerpack I wouldn't waste any effort looking for one
without knowing they work.

plug it in, and fire it up.

if you got a working system,
it was a steal.

price just the stands and boom at B&H.
