In CS3 how can I get my brush samples to appear in square boxes again
instead of rectangles?

I'm on a Mac.

Somehow, by mistake, I reset a bunch of P. settings, and one of the
changes is that all of my brushes are long and horizontal, and encased
in long, horizontal rectangles.

I've tried various things to fix this irritating problem, especially in
the Brushes fly-out menu, including resetting the brushes and appending
the brushes.

The P. Help data don't cover this topic – at least not that I can see.
