Hallo,
I am looking for a new scanner that I can use as a copier together with a
laser printer, scan text (also with grafics or pictures) and photographs. I
don't want to scan any slides.
I have narrowed down my selection to the Canon Canoscan 3200F and the Epson
Perfection 1670 (not the Photo version). I read that the Canon scanner is
very fast but doesn't scan text documents very well (fuzzy text scans). The
Epson scanner is supposed to do a better job on text scans but is a lot
slower.
Could anybody tell me about his experiences with those scanners - especially
those of you who own one of them. How bad are text scans by the Canoscan
3200F and how much slower is the Epson Perfection? I don't need a high end
scanner with very high resolution, rather a fast scanner that does well on
text/graphic documents and allows me to scan photographs every once in a
while.
Any suggestions which one to choose? Pros and cons. Any advice would be
highly appreciated.
Thanxs in advance
Jose
