I have a Canon i9100 printer. Went to use it for the first time last
night in a couple months and I kept getting asked for a file name to
print to. I had never gotten this before and I could not find anywhere
to turn this option off. Anyone have any ideas?

This may be a problem in the general settings of printers and not in the
canon menu itself.

yes just found it. go to control panel and click on printers and faxes.
right click and select properties. select the ports tab. you will see
com1, com2 etc, usb port 1, usb port2, virtual usb port. and print to
file. uncheck print to file.
