noise then s60. Is that true? I was planing to buy s60, but now when s70 is
here I am not shore... Can somebody consult me which camera to choose
(everithing else on that 2 models is the same)

Both have terrible fringing issues and noise- the G6 has fewer fringing
problems, but equal noise. Oddly, the Pentax Optio 750 seems to control
noise much better than Canon (though this is from my brief samples in broad
daylight from both).

I've recently bought the s60 and have noticed there is more noise present in
the photos than my old 4mp G2 so can assume there will be quite a bit more
with the s70 ( being a 2mp rise compared with a 1mp rise ) . Of course this
is only speculation and you'll have to wait until it is reviewed properly ,
I wouldn't like to have any more noise in the pictures that my s60 takes
though .

PS . I'm thrilled to bits about my s60 , the wide 28mm is like a dream come
true in a compact digital camera . I find the 640 x 480 movie mode quite
handy too even though it is only 10 fps .

I've compared the S60 pictures to the S70 pics and I can't see any more
noise. If anything the S70 pictures seem to be finer grained and even
smoother. But for normal snapshots or web publishing either of these cameras
will far exceed any quality desired. If saving $100 is important then go
with the S60. If the extra resolution matters (bigger enlargements), go with
the S70. The S70 comes out of sleep mode a lot faster than the S60 so that
might affect your decision also.
