Has anyone successfully used standard NiMh or Eneloops and fitted the
wrapping from the KAA2HR so that it will charge in-camera on the
docking station?

Hello, Anthony:

I own such Kodak products, but, I've never attempted what you've
suggested. From my online research, though, I think it's quite
feasible.
