OK, well, here's some information:
1. This isn't a "message board" it's a newsgroup and an alt one at
that. alt stands for alternative and in this case it means an
alternative to the moderated, always polite, never offensive and very,
very boring "company" and "mainstream" groups. Consequently, you will
get all sorts of comments.
2. A newsgroup is NOT help forum. It is a group centred round a
particular topic of interest to the people that go there. As a
newsgroup, it is an arena for discussion, nothing more, nothing less.
Any help that is given is done because people want to, not because it
is the raison d'etre of the newsgroup.
3. if you want a help forum you're better off going to one of the
mainstream newsgroups or company message boards/forums. If however,
you want to discuss the subject matter, or anything else for that
matter, or to join in a lively community with all that entails, then
by all means join in here. Just don't expect a message board or
anything other than as wide a range of people as you would encounter
in real life, talking about anything that comes to mind and only most
of which is about Photoshop.

Actually, what's really sad is that people aren't told what a
newsgroup is, what it does, and what the alt prefix means.
Hope that helps.
