Why wouldn't it? ISO rating, shutter speed and aperture are no different
for Digital than for film.

Hi DJ you say .........."""Very few grumbles so far. Only gripe, really,
is a bit of vignetting
on the kit 18-70 lense when it's out wide."""

I think you have not screwed the lens hood on all the way.

Let me rephrase it then
Given (from my limited experience) that digital cameras have better low
light capabilities than 35mm film, has any one formulated a revised
equivalent to the the sunny 16 rule (and all its derivatives)?
ie can one use faster shutter speeds at a given f stop for a given iso
rating at a given level of lighting with a digital slr where with film
it would be considered underexposed?
cheers

I was under the impression that digital cameras performed poorer than
35mm
film in low light - slide included. From my experience, they have less
latitude
and that will lead to poorer results in low light. For longer exposures
digital
noise would be of concern as well. Is this not the case?
