Question About Panasonic FZ7 Accessories

I'm expecting delivery of my Panasonic FZ7 tomorrow, and am planning a
weekend trip where I want to start using it right away. Because it may
arrive late in the day, I want to go to a local camera store to pick up
certain accessories, but I want to make sure that I'm getting the right
things.

First and foremost, I want to get a clear or UV filter to protect the
lens. I THINK that it takes 52mm filter, but I'm not sure. Can anyone
verify that? Is there anything else that I would need to specify with
regard to the protective filter?

I also want to pick up a protective film that fits over the LCD. Does
anyone know what these are called and what specific size this camera
would take? (I THINK that the LCD is 2-1/2", but again, I'm not sure).

Any help with these questions and/or suggestions of other necessary
accessories (of an immediate nature) to pick up would be greatly
appreciated.

If shooting in sun a circular polariser is good, I dont know if your lcd
needs protection my Sony has thick Lexan over it. Consider the wide and
telephoto adaptor lens.

Yes, it takes a 52mm filter;

With both my DRebel, and now my 30D, I use the protective sheets sold
for PDA screens, and cut to size. I get them at Fry's Electronics. They
stick well, and are inexpensive enough to simpluy replace when needed.

That's really up to you. I can suggest all sorts of gadgets and
accessories, but do you really need an espresso dispensor for the
camera? :-)
