Why do people come here asking questions that are answered instantly
by going to the vendor's website? Surely everyone knows about Google
by now. It took Google only 350 milliseconds to find the answer to this
question.

oh richard, when will you realise that people don't trust google? ;-)

what they want is the 'human touch', advice from an 'internet expert',
who, if everything goes belly up, they can blame....

like you, i try to offer help occasionally, but the frequency of my
doing so is lessening with every dumb question asked. and they
progressively get dumber the less likely the questioner is to actually RTFM.

that said, i still have clients who, after 20 years in the industry,
still don't understand the difference between dvcam and hdv, cause it
says both on the side of the camera. nor that there is going to be a
drop in quality between the master (whatever format that might be), and
the compressed version suitable for the web....

But wouldn't it be better to blame Google? After all you can sue them for a
gazillion dollar. I better go and check the small print in their terms and
conditions now.....
