OK, here's the question-- how do I take a color image, and replace
colors while keeping the shadows and brights intact.
IE, if I wanted to take a brunette, and turn her into a blond, how
would I do so in such a way that the shadows and highlights in the
hair are kept intact?
I believe it's some combinatio of layer and brush settings, but I
don't know which. Obviously Darken does it if the undercoat is
darker-- such as if you're coloring a peice of line art, but what
about when you're dealing with both dark and lighter sectoins?
