Default what film slide film to use (best ASA)

Next month I am going to be hiking in the Alps and want to take many good
pictures with my Nikon N 80 camera. Probably will be doing slides.

What is best ASA film to use? my camera has zoom lense with max (or is it
minimum) aperature of 5.6 (not very fast). I will have bright sun, snow
capped peaks , but also want to do sunset pictures. Want best film to
use..but wont be able to refigerate the film. What film do you suggest I
use?

You will have plenty of light, so anything at ISO 100 or faster will do. In
general, the slower the film, the better the quality, but slow film can
limit you if you expect to work in deep shade, early morning, or late
evening. Most people like enhanced saturation for scenics (I don't).
Amateur films are designed to be stable for the vacationer. Something like
Kodak Ektachrome Elite or its Fuji equivalent should fit your needs nicely.
