Why not print onto photographic paper?

It is the ink and paper that's at fault and not the original media.

Yup, most inkjet prints I've seen fade very quickly when constantly left out
in daylight. If you want something to last, really you should take your
digital images to a lab set up for it - or maybe try a colour laser. I used
to have a colour wax-transfer printer. That was cool, but expensive! Does
anyone make those things anymore?

Chris.
