I recently bought the Olympus C-7000 and, except for one thing, I think the
camera is great. Apparently Olympus uses a different RAW (ORF) format from previous Olympus cameras. My software, PhotoShop, is capable of reading RAW from C-5060 and C-8080 cameras, but I can not open one from the C-7000. The supplied Olympus Master software offers no conversion to another RAW format either. Is anyone else experiencing this and how are you getting around it? xDsrtRat |

I just got off the phone with Olympus Tech Support. Olympus acknowledges
there is a difference between this version of ORF and previous iterations. As of now, there is no PhotoShop Plugin available from Olympus that would allow PhotoShop users to view the ORF image. Best guess for availability is first quarter of 2005. While not that far off, I think Olympus missed the mark by not having the plugin available with the camera's release.
