Which is best Canon EOSd30 or the new EOS 300D

I have a Canon EOS50 and am very pleased with it, but I want to get a
digital body as well. Which would be best buy a used D30 or a new 300D as
far as I can see the D30 has a better build quality, and the 300 a higher
pixel sensor. But what do people think would be the best buy?
