Hello!
is it possible to add 6 audio tracks (48khz/20bit) to a DVD? i am using DVD Studio Pro and i can only add one stereo PCM file to an audio-track. when i am using "A.Pack" this works but then the audio is AC-3 encoded and has not PCM "quality". any suggestions? cheers markus Markus Loeffler |

If you want 6 channels then you must use Dolby Digital via APack. Don't use the defaults though. Use these settings and it should sound better: Data Rate: 448kbs No Compression Dialnorm: -31 RF Modulation - Off |

A utility like A.Pack can create a 5.1 soundtrack from separate audio files, whether stereo or mono. The thing is, you need to have recorded and/or mixed your audio to take advantage of 5.1 -- you can't just take a stereo track and magically make it 5.1. |

PCM tracks are limited to either mono or stereo. The only way you could have 6 different PCM tracks would be to put them on as different language tracks, and there would be no way to play them simultaneously for a full-mix. You need to use Dolby Digital or DTS - they're the only formats that can output 6 discreet channels. N. |
