My interest would be as follows,
I would probably want to purchase a PCB, could also get by with wire wrap. I am in the US and have limited electronics knowledge but love to do it yourself. I have dones some electronics projects from scratch with plans. For me the joy is in making it work not in doing all the steps in the process. If I needed to make my own PCB the options would be to physically lay out the traces and pads by hand. Very tedious and prone to mistakes or purchase a kit to photographically create the board from a electronic distribution. The purchase of the starter supplies for the photographic process make it almost cost prohibitive. By the time supplies were purchased and components I could purchase a used digital timer from ebay. I currently own a digital timer Beseler Digi-timer. The improvements over this unit I would like are. 1) Rotary switch to set time. One direction would increment the time up the other direction would increment the time down. 2) I find the top time of 99 seconds to be to small when working with bitter enlargements. 3) It would be nice to be able to have tenths of a second as well as double digit exposure. Not a limit of 9.9 seconds in tenths mode. I have currently written a software for the palm pilot that works as a darkroom timer. There is a relay arrangement that I connect to the serial port that switches the enlarger. This currently is my favorite timer. It has overcome the limitations above and also gives me a automated test strip printer for even intervals or fstop intervals. Ron,
is that software for Palm and way of connecting to enlarger publicly available?
