I tried 1:63 instead of the 1:31 dilution with the new tri-x (shot at
200).
Agitate once a minute, and give it 8 minutes (4minutes x2).
Results are hanging in the bathroom.
Although the frames look ok, they looked a bit flat. Maybe i'll
agitate once every 30 secs or extend the base time from 8 to 10
minutes (4 minutes to 5 minutes 1:31). I think that kodak's 3,45 for
400 Asa a bit on the short side.

At the same time, I did the other half of the roll in a Rodinal/Xtol
Blend.
I tell u...Never saw a more "snapy" and Sharp negative...I cant want
to print them...(so I can see if the grain is ok...)

No, Xtol is phenidone and ascorbate.

I'll leave it to others to figure out how a mixture of Xtol and Rodinal
would actually perform.

I was curious. Maybe it will make shitty prints....maybe not.

Aparently, they look very sharp, with no blown highlight and lots of shadow detail.

At least it didn't blew my bathroom away....

Trial and error....

I'll keep u posted...
