Default CANON SD300 Good in low light condition ?

Greetings !
I am about to buy a very small compact camera. After extensive
research on the web the Canon SD300 (Ixus 40 in France) seems a very
good choice.
However I wonder if it works well in low light condition without flash
(I often shoot pictures in low light condition).
Anyone can give me an answer ?
Thank you.
Louis

Like any of these small digital piont and shoots with the SD-300 you
pretty much need the flash in low light. I have gotten a few usable non
flash shots with low light in the night snapshot mode but generally for
non flash low light I use my Canon 10D Digital SLR.
