Pentax 330gs specs or help

I'm looking for the specs on the internals of this camera, or help
getting it working. The camera was filled with sand, so I took it apart
to clean it out, but putting it back together there was one extra piece
(isn't that always the way?). The piece is tear drop shaped, black,
plastic with a small pinhole. The peice is about 3mm tall. If you can
tell me where this piece goes I would really appreciate it.
The camera will not turn on, it just does a double beep. The only
thing that will work is Menu+Power will show me the firmware version.
I'm unsure if there is a buttom combination to reset it once it's been
taken apart or not.
The online Pentax website requires you to fill in your personal
information into a non https form, which is totally useless.
