Help! My Pentax Optio S40 lens shutter is stuck

I can't close the lens shutter & my photo disk appears to messed up, too.
I can't download the photos onto my computer. Has anyone else had this
problem?

Try removing the battery overnight to let the camera completely power down
and reset.
