Newbie question--7.0 or CS?

    Is CS a replacement for 7.0, or a different product altogether?

    CS is Photoshop 8.

    Basically it's PS8
    But it's also available as part of a package - the Creative Suite - hence CS

    i.e. Adobe would like you to buy the whole suite - in a similar way to
    which people tend to get Microsoft Office rather than the individual
    programs.
