1DS AF faster than D30/D60/300D/D10?

Discussion in 'Photography' started by David Turnedge, Feb 26, 2004.

  1. Wondering whether the faster shutter speed in the Canon 1DS (and
therefore the ever-so-tempting 1DS II) means that the 1DS has a faster
and/or more accurate AF than lower-speed Canon digital SLRs?

What is regarded as the 'best' or 'fastest' (I need fast) AF mechanism
on the market (by any manufacturer)?

If you want the fastest you'll have to wait for the 1D II. And,
luckily, it's cheaper than the 1Ds. (According to the street value at
    dpreview.com)
