3.3 volt SD memory card in 3 volt camera?

Discussion in 'Digital Cameras' started by Brent W. Hughes, Dec 15, 2003.

  1. The camera I'm planning to buy takes two AA batteries (making 3 volts). The
SD memory card I'm planning to buy says that its operating voltage is 3.3
volts. What gives? Can I really expect them to work together?

  2. You'll probably find if you are using Nicad's or NiMh's they're actually
    1.2v each (2.4v total)
.....and the SD card will work fine.
