hello, group. i am seeking a 35mm soft focus lens made by minolta. i
will mount it on my nikons. this is a true soft focus and does a
beautiful job with the softeting and yet does not take out the
    highlights. any info? thanks, neutron

    1) 100mm f/2.8 soft focus with three settings: sharp, soft and softer.

I've only seen the advert photos reputedly taken with it, not actual images.

    2) 135 STF f/2.8 [T/4.5] (Smooth Trans Focus) which renders sharp at the
focus plane and very smooth out of focus rendition. I have seen some
jaw dropping 8x10/12's portraits from that lens... long on my lust
list/hard to justify. The transmission factor [T/4.5] is for exposure
and the DOF is per the f/ aperture. Manual focus only.

I don't know if there is an Adaptall for Minolta lenses to Nikon bodies,
and you may lose some exposure related functions and AF (in the 100mm)
and this might be doubly difficult with the STF T factor.
