3g2 quicktime files out of synch in Vegas

I'm having some odd problems with 3g2 quicktime files from a cell phone
playing the sound track out of synch in Vegas Movie studio. When I drag
the files onto the timeline, Vegas creates sfk files (Sound Forge Audio
Peak File http://www.fileinfo.net/extension/sfk ) and the sound track
becomes pushed back about a second, the beginning clipped. If I remove
the sfk files, Vegas refuses to load the videos.

I guess I need to buy $29 QuickTime Pro, huh? Then what, probably save
    out to avi?

Yep, that works. Saving as mov is all screwed up but export to avi works
fine with files 10x the size.

Now the problem is I've got 200 files about 15 seconds each. Looks like
I've got to buy more stuff to do batch processing. I might just sit down
for an hour & do it manually, it took more than a week to get a working
solution to getting the files off my cell phone, this is getting nuts :)

Any other handy features in QT pro I should know about now that I've got it?
