4-up 2 1/4 square negative carrier

  1. Has anyone ever thought of having a 4-up 2 1/4 negative carrier that would
fit in a 4x5 enlarger? My Beseler can obviously cover a 5x5 area and so it
would seem that two negative strips could be lain parallel with respective
openings to allow the simultaneous printing of four images. There is an
obvious time savings over printing each image individually. We're not
talking fine printing here; rather something more akin to what one would get
from a consumer photo lab, and, a step up from a contact sheet (although if
we all had 8x10 enlargers we could enlarge entire 120 rolls ;) ).

  2. Yes it is nice, I can make with my 8x10 enlarger
a 16x20 enlarged gang proof sheet from
my 120 negatives and each image is about 5x5.

I've done something similar with 35mm. 120 is big enough to just make
contact sheets. I just put them into the glass 4x5 carrier.

Don't know how you would contact them but Carlwen are the guys to ask unless
you can afford to do it your self. They make a similar rig for 35mm and
"speed" carriers for a number of enlargers.
