Body alone in Montreal is listed $2,000 in the chain stores (Dumoulin),
1,900 in the cahin camera stores, and can be had quite a bit under $1800
if you know where to go and who to see, and take advantage to negotiate
memory, AC adaptor and whatever else you might need at the same time.

There are no rebates in Canada as yet.

    Cheers,
    Alan

$28-100. Store cost is less than $100 CAD.

Take out the $100 for the lens (cost) and I paid less than that for my
    body alone.

Yeah, I was lucky. I paid $1749 CAD including tax and shipping to my
    door for the body.

I didn't see any indication that the price at Tiger includes a Canon
lens. I'd guess it is, but you never know.

Not sure why they would include a Canon lens with a 7D :)

I got mine for $1348 minus a $200 rebate (body only) from ibuydigital.com.
    Haven't gotten the rebate yet.

Sorry. USD. Didn't do the conversion, but it still seems a bit cheaper. Yes?
    No?

Sure, esp. with the rebate. But we're used to paying a little bit more
for most things than Americans exchange rates aside. Unfortuanately,
importing from the US does not always pay off. (shipping and customs
brokerage fees are fickle things). From time to time it reverses like
when I bought my DSE 5400 scanner. Was cheaper here than in the US.

I'm PO'd at K-M as they're offering the $200 rebate in the US but not in
    Canada. What's that all about?

    Cheers,
    Alan

They seen intent on gouging us Canucks. Look at the US & Can price of the
    5600 flash!
    Nikon SB-800 is $480 and Minolta 5600 is $630 in puck-land.

Alan, I'm not sure what you mean. The rebate is available in Canada,
and better yet, it's in US funds. It says that on Tigerdirect's site.

Tiger Direct is selling "Grey Market" 7D, as the rebate clearly says you
need to send in your USA warranty.

Only if you purchase from the US dist. The rebate says "Offer good only
in the US..." so they might not mail to a Canadian address.

I'm very surprised they would even offer it then...given they are in
    Toronto.
