    The Pentax *ist D is by far the best digital SLR ever made

    someone just said this to me in a group.....rather big call.......
    hmmmmm, now that might start another good arguement...............

    If small size, limited weight and minimal battery consumption are some
    of your main criterion for making such a statement then yes why not.

    Yes I know I'm staring to get so depressed, I know my images would be
    sooo much better if I migrated to the dark side. LOL.

    Given that they are eminently comparable to my Mamiya 7 and Leica M ASPH
    kit I'm OK with that, you carry on, I'm glad I made your day, you
    certainly confirmed my suspicions :)

    look yes at the end of the day it is not the camera but the photog so yes
    the pentax would be a great camera.....it has stacks going for it........and
    is probably perfect for what you need.....as is canon for me........

    its all about what you need.......same as when you buy a car
