    Actually, it is trivial to remove the convergence with an image editer
    such as PictureWindow Pro. Even this extreme example would look decent
    enogh for the Web.

    I'd be surprised if any halfway-serious image editor didn't have this
    feature in its recent versions these days.

    I'd also be surprised if this effect wasn't used on the picture in
    question - in reverse.
