Adobe After Effects

Discussion in 'Amateur Video Production' started by HobbyDocumentary, Jan 20, 2006.

  1. Has anybody used Adobe After Effects without an add-on graphics card
(NVIDIA etc.) I just wanted to know if the on board intel video chips
(latest motherboards) could run the effects offered by After Effects. In
case I need to add a PCI graphics card later will I be able to override
the onboard Intel video chip (D945 chipset on Intel Boards).

Any system can run AE. It is not dependent on the video card. Though preview
speed and quality will depend on the card. opengl, etc..

I've been using AE with an old Matrox G450 dual card for years. I may
not get my previews as quickly as I would with one of the newer cards,
    but it works fine.
