The cloud. Everything is going to it. Photos, apps, movies, etc.
And all of them are vulnerable to the whims of those who run the cloud
you find them in. Morality changes from one year to the next
(remember nudity and swearing on network TV in the 1990's?) no
problem, they'll edit it "for" you, since there is no more ownership,
physical ownership of products. Welcome to the "renters" world of
    computing, socialism for the techno-masses.

I don't find that proposition too attractive. If I had to move to the
Cloud in any way now that Apple has announced that my current use of
20GB space iDisc ends in June next year, I would prefer to do it on my
    own terms with PogoPlug.

....or a product which provided a higher degree of flexibility than that
offered by Adobe, or Apple's iCloud, such as ZumoDrive, which is a
    cross platform offering.

I am not too enthusiastic to adopt Apple's latest OS and the damage
which will ensue to my current workflow.

Plus, and this is the best one, that poor Netflix streaming movie
viewers are now finding, capping of download bandwidth and charges for
overages are going to be the cash-cow for service providers.

    Rich is at it again.
    1. No one is forcing anyone to use the cloud.
    2. Many large businesses are starting to use the cloud
    3. I question whether Rich even knows the security measures in cloud
computing that prohibit interference with data.

Yes I to am not comfortable using the cloud, as I like things close to
home, for many other reasons. But the objection posed by Rich is merely
    another fantasized Rishism.

Not yet, but that is just the next step in the chain. Oh, and Ubisoft does
force people to use the cloud for game saves as a part of their shit DRM

  17. Back to kindergarden with you two. Learn proper social behaviour,
or at least broaden your vocabularity for name calling.

Scatology is so anal expulsive, George ... you should have been
    better handled before kindergarden.

And "X" (whew, what a *clever* name), calling a male a female
sexual organ only displays your insecurity around the opposite
gender, and your misogynist world view.

**** off, Kraut. You shouldn't have been dropped on your head when your mama
squirted you out squatting in the ghetto. Hydrocephalus is a terrible thing.

I have a question about this "cloud" thingy. Will I be able to access my
photos on a sunny day? If it rains, do my photos come down with the rain?
