Adobe Photoshop Album v PSP Album

Discussion in 'Photoshop' started by Pete Stockdale, Jul 2, 2003.

  1. Soon to start using digital camera - determined to use a good on-line image
management system from the outset ...would be glad of opinion on best -
Photoshop Album or Paint Shop Pro Album.

Also any thoughts on best image editor for my needs (new digital camera
owner). Thing is I have PSP7. Seems I cannot upgrade from 7 to 8...so
wondering if Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 would be a better bet than PSP8.

    Many thanks,

    Pete

1.. Don't buy any software whose version ends in 1.0. It's not called
"guinea pig" software by the engineers for nothing.

    2. PS Album will probably be good when version 2 comes around.

    3. As far as Elements v. PSP - if you know PSP and it does what you
need then why change? However, if you want a good way to start
learning what Photoshop can do then go to Elements. It really depends
on whether you want to learn new software, and whether you think you
might, at some time, want to go to a professional package rather than
    PSP.

Hehehehe... hear that, ShadowFlap? ShadowFlap buys his software and
THINKS he's a "Pro" because his software box told him so :))

That’s funny, I’ve owned Photoshop since version 4 and PSP since about
the same time and I use them both for different things. Neither
application is perfect but you know what, neither am I. Having “Pro”
on PSP doesn’t make me one any more than not having “Pro” on Photoshop
would mean someone who earned their living with it wasn’t one, but who
the hell cares besides you? You on the other hand don’t even own
Photoshop, yet you see fit to give advice about its use. I find that
extremely odd behavior personally. You of course know all this
already, yet you continue to mock PSP users when you yourself were an
avid enthusiast before a Jasc employee had the balls to identify you
for what you are, an asshole of the highest magnitude. The program you
lauded as well as the people that you gushed over while they helped you
learn haven’t changed, only you have changed, for the worse. Continue
being the best asshole you can be, John, because in the end, that’s all
    you’re really good at.
