I have some pictures on PBase (http://www.pbase.com/mjhale if anyone wants
to look). I received an E-mail today from AAA Southern California asking
if they could use several of my photos in an article about LA attractions
    and scenery.

I have no problem with them using the photos, but I'm wondering if
compensation should be expected, what I should do to protect my pictures,
    etc.

This is the first time someone has asked to use any of my pictures so I'm
unsure of what to expect and what to do to protect myself.

    Thanks for any guidance.

What is the standard rate or there a guideline based upon the type of
magazine, amount of pictures to be used, number of times each picture is
    used, etc?
