    Good morning, I have a Canon 50D with a ESF 18 -200mm lense.:

The last two photo shoots I have done, I have noticed that my images are very soft edge...no sharp clarity. I went outside yesterday to see if there was a problem with my camera...focused on a straight edged plant, I actually got a better manual focus than I did AF,...... infact in AF mode I maunally focused; then when I went to take the pic and the AF made the image go ever so slightly out of clear focus.

My AF seemes to be 'OFF' (not quite right), can someone help with advise please.

    Many thanks
    Sarah

Ps I have just read someones post about isolating the problem to the body or the lense, I put my 50mm lense on and AF seems fine. Assuming then that the problem is in the ESF 18 - 200mm lense...is there anything I can do??
