I like that picture. Just be careful to not get mixed up with
Africanized bees. They can put you into a world of sh!t in a
hurry. Here in Texas, that is defintely a consideration, since
they are now found in the state, and 200-500 stings is no joking
matter.

 

It's a long time sine I read bee keeping books but I wonder why we don't
have problems with them in the UK. IIRC mediterainian bees are more
temporamental than the usual varieties found in the UK, but there is
a direct land link between Europe and Africa, you throught that they would
have worked their way up here over the last several million years.

 

They'd have to go through that great big desert...
-Not too many blooming flowers out that way...
