Got a spam from Gizzo, ref their scanner at £80 to convert prints to
digital. It would be handy to convert a few shoeboxfulls of prints, to hard
    drive.
I was wondering if their was some s/ware out there, that can be used in
conjuncter with your own pooter scanner? TIA

Dont understand the question. Any flat bed scanner can convert prints to
digital but its slides and negatives that need a illuminated lid and these
can be had from £79. such as canon 4400F

Agh, thanks Trev, I wasn't aware that a FB scanner could convert prints to
digital and I need to convert prints. Thanks.

What's the difference between a Photo print and a letter as far as a scanner
is concerned It does not think just copy's.
The only thing to watch get the right PPI probably called DPI by the scanner
maker if you scan at 300ppi and print at that same ppi you get same size
print if you scan at 600 and print at 300ppi you get twice the size print.
If its to use on the web it will be displayed at aprox 96 dpi depending on
the viewers preferences so you need only to scan at 96/100 to keep the file
    size down for emailing
