    Excellent shot.
I must wander down to the Chattanooga beach myself one morning.

I've been watching your posts for some time now. Much of what you say to
fabricate a story for your pictures is false... Even downright lies.

Why, when most of the pictures themselves are good enough for public
display - on a computer screen at least, do you need to create such
expansive fairy tales about them? I care not that you cut and paste or
use Photoshop to create your pieces and I'm sure few others do either.
You don't have to be like this to receive recognition, you know?

Let me know when you're coming so you can kiss my ass.
The beach is in Destin, Florida. I'm now back home. It's called a
car, dumbass. They can drive over 400 miles in less than a day. You
should really think about getting one.

BTW, why didn't you check the posting host of my previous post (40D:
DESTINED FOR GREATNESS !) that I posted from Destin?

    Stupid ****.

Europeans often disparage Americans for not knowing geography. Jurgen
evidently can't look at a map and see that Chattanoogans can choo-choo
down to the shore within a few hours.

About the image...I know you are capable of some fine shots, but this
one looks like a studio shot in a taxidermist's shop in front of a
sea'n'sky background. The wire supporting the bird has been nicely
taken out with the masking, though.

I'm sure I am far from being the only person who finds your sycophancy
    both misplaced and thoroughly sick-making.

So why don't you stop posting them?

There is absolutely no need to share your misplaced adoration with the
rest of the world, so why not send it by private email instead?

With all the back-biting, fighting and downright hatred that goes on
in these newsgroups, yet you pick on me for stating genuine opinions.
When I comment on anyones work I always give an honest and genuine
opinion. Whether they are sickening sweet to your or anyones taste
isn't the point. If Bret didn't want comments on his work he wouldn't
post his pics. We have discussed this many times and he knows that at
anytime he has a problem with my comments then I will find an
    alternative way to comment.
His advice to me about people like you: "ignore them".

    Thanks! I liked it, too.
I plan on making a poster of it, in fact..

I tried using fill flash with mixed results.
On cloudy days the results looked really fake, like this:
    http://www.pbase.com/bret/image/104497535

On sunny days, no fill is needed since the white sand acts as a huge
    reflector.
    It's like cheating.

Damn straight. I refuse to let these fools keep me from doing my
    thing.
If they don't like my pics or your comments, then fine. They are free
    to post their own.

Exactly what I was thinking. I use a portable white reflector all the
time for portraits or any subject where the lighting is harsh. It
gives a perfect even lighting effect. White sand.........nature's
perfect reflector. I still say it's a Heavenly shot!

It would be nice if occasionally you could post a picture that is in
    focus too!

What an inane comment. You got caught out making a ridiculous error
in questioning the ability of a Tennessee-based photographer to shoot
a beach scene, so you have to come up with something else bad.

Bret's in focus where and when he should be in focus. Always, in his
linked photos. I assume he takes some OOF shots, but he doesn't post
    them.

Bret has good photographic skills. Sometimes, as in these gull shots,
there's some indication that he has some good Photoshop skills too,
but that's his business as long as he doesn't outright claim not have
    altered the photo.

    Hi Douggie.

    BTW, you misspelled "Jerkin."

Seriously, D-Mac, is it Jurgen or Juegen?

My, my. Aren't you the feisty one. A nice little sock you are too.

For your information: 400 miles (approximately) might seem a trivial
distance on an autobahn where there is no speed limit but the speed
limit in Florida is still 55 miles per hour. And the travelling distance
from Pensacola to Chattanooga (which I travelled last Friday) is *SEVEN*
hours adhering to speed limits and recommended stops for rest.

It doesn't take a degree in mathematics to figure out that A fat assed
bastard like Bret Douglas couldn't resist stopping for food at least
once and seeing as he probably had Skyler with him, I know for a fact
she couldn't stay away from French Fries that long either.

So given that the post I responded to was made on 15 Oct 2008 at
02:50:17 GMT) and Chattanooga is GMT -4 hours, He would have to have
left the beach at 3:00 AM or so to get back to Chattanooga in time to
post the message "Took this one this morning and thought about my
    favorite Angel."

Basically I called him for his bullshit story and he got so embarrassed
he did what all braggarts do and got into into personal insult mode
    because he had no answer.

    Here's a news flash:
The sun doesn't shine out of Bret Douglas' ass or at 3:00 AM in Florida.

Thinking every stranger you come across is as stupid as you are is a
really bad attitude and likely to get you into untold trouble.

  20. so just for the record what is the speed limit in Florida again ??
and for that matter, whats the speed limit in Tennessee ??

Here is a hint Douggie, in Florida the speed limit is 70mph and in Tennessee
its the same, as a matter of fact the good old double nickel hast been the
speed limit in the USA for quite a number of years
and this post is bought to you by the Tangalooma truth abuser himself,
Douggie Boi. syntax, gramma, sentence construction and language usage all
match to within such a small percentage of the usual Douggie diatribe that
the chance is approaching zero that it could be anyone else, especially
someone of European decent where English is not their first language :)
