I've already told you that according to the NZ N ikon distributor,
they are still in production. They make them in batches to order.

    You wrote:
    "who needs automation anyway".

    I responded:
" You do. Otherwise you would be out of a job".

    You responded;
    "huh?"

    I responded:
"What do you think it is you do for a living?"

By replying: "how is a nikon f6 or a used f5/fm/mx/om1 relevant to
what i do for a living?" you showed that you were still missing the
point. As I understand the situation you are up to your neck in
    automation.

You are making it up as you go along.

what matters is whether the radios are on or off, and they are off.
other parts of the phone don't matter.

he may also be confusing standby with off.

in other words, not an off the shelf phone that a typical person has.

plus, you have to have done something rather serious to warrant being
    'given' a bugged phone.
doesn't matter what it is. it's not a standard off the shelf phone.

it's a custom modified phone, given to a particular person of interest
    and hoping they don't notice.

they know they can order one. they may not know what the factory has
    sitting around.

not that it matters since it sells in such tiny quantities anyway.

what does camera automation have to do with writing apps for mobile
    devices?? hint: nothing.

plus, embedded firmware is *very* different than user facing apps.

nothing about a nikon f6 has anything whatsoever to do with ios or
    android.

you're not even in the ballpark on this one.

there are several other members in the set, but nothing that matters
except to those who want to argue.

    because it doesn't matter.

the camera came out in 2004, so another year of sales isn't going to
    make a difference.

feel free to add a few more hundred. it doesn't really change much of
    anything.
i've never seen a nikon product start with 0. the 3 is not part of the
    sequence.

4000 in ten years is about what i'd expect from a camera that almost
    nobody wants.
i saw that, and that doesn't say every month. it also doesn't mean film
    is 'alive'.

even if you assume they are selling 50 a month, it's still nothing.

sigma, the company with the tiniest market share sells about 10k slrs a
year, which is 833/month, or more than 10x as many.

the mainstream nikon/canon slrs sell *many* orders of magnitude more.

the f6 is lost in the noise.

in other words, it's so close to zero that it can be considered to be
    zero.

There is nothing to deny. You asked me to accurately attribute a post that
was already accurately attributed. Missing attribution is not the same
    thing as inaccurate attribution.

With whom? You? No, I never argue with you. I only correct misinformation
and lies. An argument is an exchange of opposing *views* while the bulk of
our interaction here is me telling you how things work in reality,
correcting your misinformation and your lies. No argument there, just
facts. Of course, you try to "argue" back, but that never works out for
    you.

I am not "arguing" anything. I am explaining set theory. Your question
tells me you need to learn it as well.

They know it typically takes two months to get one after placing an
order. They are obviously not just sitting around.
It matters in that it falsifies one of you exaggerations: "given that
film cameras are no longer made".

I said nothing about camera apps. Computer programming is nothing but
    writing instructons to an automata.
    Think again.

Have you never heard of virus's and the like which are down loaded
into somebody's operating system? You don't have to be anywhere near
the computer or 'phone to do it.
