I found a APS cartridge in a box so tried to scan it last night. I had
difficulty fitting into the scanner and one of the drive points has been
damaged so it will not fit.

I tried levering out the broken plastic bits in the hope that it could be
driven from one side of the cartridge but still cannot be got into the
    scanner.

Is there anything that can be done to recover the film - I have no idea
what is on it! I wondered if the film could be transferred to an empty
    cartridge.

Sorry if this is obvious, but are you sure it is processed (there is an
indicator on the bottom that is moved after processing)- I guess the
scanner may be able to tell if it has been processed?
