armatar flash units

I'm looking for armatar flash equipment? Are they still made.
I believe they were a modification of the Vivitar 283.

They may still be made, but from what I've seen of them the Sunpak
120J TTL does exactly the same thing.

 

Tony Amato was a local electronics wizard, with an annoying stutter, nasty
tremors of the hands, which were about the size of Primo Carnera's. Also, a
hell of a nice guy. His main game was modifying lites and brackets, most of
which, I believe, have been sold. That particular lite is now a Sunpak 120J,
if I remember. His two sons now run the store, but specialize more in
digital and video. A lot more than you want to know, I'm sure. Bob Hickey
