Audio sync prob in playback of WMV files, gets worse as file plays

    I have a Dell Dimension 8400 (3.2 GHz with 2 GB RAM) with WinXP Media
    Center and an SB Audigy 2GS sound card. When trying to play .WMV
    files, the audio is slightly out of synch with the video, and it seems
    to get worse as the video progresses. Some .WMV files are more out of
    synch than others, but they all seem to get worse later in the video
    playback.

    This did not happen before my hard drive had to be reformatted
    recently. Now I can't remember if I'd updated any drivers that might
    have been lost in the reformat, or not. Of course, this might not be
    driver related.

    What might be causing this problem with playback of .WMV files?

    All suggestions will be appreciated.
