    Hi,

I have a psd file with several named layers. Is there any way to
create a droplet or something that will go through each layer and save
only that layer for the web (jpg or gif) and give the file name the
name of the layer? I played around with the actions window a little
    but no luck.

    Thanks.

What version? There's a script in CS and one available for 7 which
saves layers as files. You might have to do further work in an action.
There's also something called Layer Splitter which does this.

If you have CS just use File>Scripts>Export layers to files.
