    Hi,

Does anyone here had any experience with B&H regarding international
exchanges? I recently ordered a loupe and it arrived on Thursday. Upon
careful examination, I noticed a spec of dust embedded between the
elements that cannot be removed. This is annoying for me and I would
like to seek an exchange if possible. I have written to them but since
it was already Friday afternoon (in NY) when I wrote to them, I suppose
it will have to wait till at least Monday for them to give me a reply.

    My questions are:

    1) I have to send the item back and order another one (or when B&H send
me another one upon receipt). Do I have to pay for both the shipping
charges? If I am charged either way, then it might not make any
economical sense as the loupe was US$ 80.

    2) I do not think that the item carries international warranty (again
I'm checking with B&H) as there is no warranty card.

    Thanks
    Matt

You should not worry about "perfect" or not.

Something buried six feet underground is perfect; anything else
may/may not be rated without a single (even with a microscope) flaw.

    Mellow out and enjoy life....

Not only that, if the OP really mailed them a letter, it is likely that it
won't arrive until after B&H shuts down for Passover. If that is the case,
he won't hear from them for a week or so.

I agree. It reminds of that "dead pixel" issue.

To the OP. Even had it been within the same country, I think you'd
still have to pay for returning an item. If you do it, can you be sure
that the item you get sent again will be free from such fault? It
sounds like a manufacturer's QA problem, not a seller's one. Perhaps
you may want to consider another brand.
