    Be careful of pigs flying overhead. Such a deal would mean compromising
    the Leica/Panasonic alliance. Next we'll hear about Sigma lenses being
    re branded as Leica lenses because Leica sold the rights to make them to

    I'm not buying it, either. It really makes no sense, especially since Leica
    branded lenses for Canons would cannibalize Canon's lens sales, and the
    sales of the "miracle plastic" lens hoods that cost $500.

    You can be sure that the prices of used Leica lenses would increase
    rapidly if Leica offered an "official" adapter to fit them to a full
    frame DSLR.

    Currently, people are deterred from doing this by the poor quality of
    some Chinese-made adapters, the high cost of high quality adapters
    which still aren't officially endorsed by Leica*, and the risk of the
    reflex mirror colliding with the very-expensive-to-replace rear
    element of some lenses, especially in the case of the Canon EOS 5D. An
    official Leica DSLR, or an official Leica R to Canon EF adapter, would
    remove some of the deterrent, and prices of used Leica R lenses would
