I like # 1956. Composition is very pleasing to me.

Aye. You definitely need a way in to the photos, but often there is a
barrier of trees or bushes in the foreground. 1944 has some depth
because there's a route into the picture that leads between the
foreground and background. And of course there's 1956, which leads one
in a long way. As opposed to 1957, which rather quickly leads one out
of the LH edge of the photo.

Mind you, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1999 have some nice contrasts - though
I think 1995 has the edge as far as composition is concerned.

Some of the more pastoral photos are a bit half and half, split
through the middle, which often isn't nearly as interesting as
    something more off-centre.

The bushes in 1966 frame the composition quite well.

The errors are one's I make myself, but it's easier to spot them in
    other people's photos :)

Looks like you had a lovely day ... but it's disconcerting ... where's
    the sea? ;-)
