Boston event videographer needed

Discussion in 'Professional Video Production' started by Bruce Gleason, Jul 25, 2003.

  1. I shoot 4-5 times a year in the Boston area but I reside in S Calif. I need
a shooter with a dsr300 or 370 that would be able to tape dance competitions
starting on Friday night and go to Sunday around 6pm. It's all off and on
work, with 3 divisions on fri, 6-8 divisions on sat, and 4-5 on sunday.
Each division lasts 20-40 minutes. Total 6-7 hrs actual tape time. Pay is
$800 total. (this is an on-speck job - not an industrial) Im looking for
someone that would usually work for $200 a day and have a $200 rental for
the weekend for the camera. I pay for the tape. Let me know.

I seriously hope that you don't find anyone at these prices.

Sorry, but that's ridiculous, and you should be ashamed to even offer
    it.

That is rather low for Boston, but who knows. Good luck!

FWIW, a DSR300 rents for $275 per day in Boston. Accessories extra.
