Burned Divx DVD - No Video in Standalone Player

  1. Has anyone else run into a problem burning Divx AVI files to DVD, and
getting audio, but no video on a stand-alone DVD player?

I converted the AVI to DVD format, and used Nero to burn to a DVD. The
video plays fine if I play it on my desktop from the burned DVD, but I
only get audio on my standalone player.

Is this a problem with the DVD player being incompatible with DivX
movies? Since it was an AVI converted to DVD format, I didn't think it
would be an issue (I've burned AVI movies to DVD before and used them
on the same player with no problem) - but I guess I could be mistaken.

    Any ideas?

Perhaps your Divx has done something in its latest version that makes it
incompatible with the decoders in your player.
