Although I compared the A2 to my existing Nikon 5700 and found no
compelling reason to upgrade. I sent the A2 back, in particular becuase
the JPEG images saved by the camera had nasty artefacts (also present in
the A1 - why wasn't the firmware updated?), the macro range was rather
limited (only works at two focal lengths), the LCD mechanism felt "tinny",
and because the company lies about the number of pixels in the EVF.

The pictures were, on average, no better than those from the Nikon 5700.

    Cheers,
    David

Is the 28mm wide angle lens important to you? It is to me, and I'd like to
throw a couple more into the ring to get some comments/comparisons:

Canon S60 (too new to form an opinion?)
    Nikon 5400
    Leica Digilux 2 (if only.....)

Are there any other wide zoom types to consider? I'm interested for
landscape work. Had a great 2 years with my Fuji 601, but I'm tempted by
something with wider zoom and better quality.
