    Hello,

I am looking for a MINI DV camcorder in the $300-$400 range, for use in
creating podcasts. I know that I would like a camera that will
stabilize handshake as much as possible (and do this well), that will
have an input for an external microphone and a cable to a monitor (I
guess this would be S-Video?) so that I can monitor while recording. A
USB 2.0 port and decent still quality, and a larger/higher pixel image
sensor would also be of interest. I also have XLR mikes (for music
recording), through I suspect that a recorder at this price would not
have an XLR input, but I am beginner, so if you know of any that have
    this, feel free to mention.

What would you recommend? This will mostly be used for indoor podcasts,
with decent amounts of light in the room, and may also be used outside
from time to time. Also, if there are features that you think would be
useful for what we are trying to do, please feel free to mention.

I am also willing to purchase used from ebay, so if you have thoughts
about cameras that might be higher priced at retail, but would sell at
this price used, I would be interested.

    Many thanks for your help!

    Best,

    Alan
